Wisconsin
Last weekend we traveled to Wisconsin for Granny Roethe's memorial service. She was 92 years old. Although it was a sad occasion, it was good to see and talk to family. Betsy got to meet many of them for the first time.
The luncheon was held at the Edgerton Towne Country club, which our ancestors founded. It is also the home course of PGA Tour star Steve Stricker. The Badger football game was on the TV, and a game of golf was played after the luncheon.

Zoo Animals
A good day at the Zoo
On Sunday, September 12, 2010 we participated in a Pancreatic Cancer Awareness walk at the Detroit Zoo. Kara organized this walk in memory of her father and my father in law, Paul Smith, who lost his battle with the vicious disease on April 9, 2010. The walk was well attended and raised over $200,000 for the cause. It was also Betsy's first visit to the zoo. I am sure she will have a new Roar after hearing Lions in person. The Tates were able to participate as well, and Betsy really liked having Lily ride down to the D with us.

FUN WITH THE COUSINS
The kids from Colorado came for a visit at the beginning of the month, and Betsy got to play with Luke, June and Jake. Everyone had a great time.
Those kids make their own fun, and are still allowed to play games such as Red Rover. Betsy was a little to small to participate, but enjoyed watching from the safety of her highchair

Call Tony!Tone!Toni!
Four years ago today my lovely wife and I were married at St. Matthew Catholic Church. The reception was held at the Flint Golf Club. It was a great day with family and friends, and I can still feel the joy I felt when I saw Kara walking down the aisle toward the alter. Two days later we left Bishop airport for London and all the sights. We then took the Chunnel to Paris. What a time! Sassy had to stay home with the parents, where she was spoiled as usual.
Last year we were blessed with Betsy, and every day is a new adventure. She grows so much it seems like years ago that she was rolling to get from place to place. The crawling phase was here for awhile, and then she got the hang of walking. Truly amazing.
Happy Anniversary

Four years ago today my lovely wife and I were married. What a great day with friends and family. We then traveled to London and Paris for our honeymoon. It was absolutely fantastic. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful wife. We now have Betsy, and every day is better than the last. Happy Anniversary.

Summer Fun
First Birthday
Friday, June 11, 2010

B is getting so big it's scary. Eleven months old and standing on her own. Up and down the stairs without problems. One of the funniest things is when I come home from work and take her, she waves bye-bye to Mimi as if to say "Dad's here, see you later." She then smiles and laughs. This would be even funnier if she didn't do it to me last night when mom got home.
